Yellow Cab of Pensacola enjoys one of the richest histories of any livery company in the United States. Originally founded as Tucker Transportation in 1902, the company provided disembarking passengers from the port of Pensacola with horse drawn transportation. Tucker Transportation began providing taxi service to the Pensacola area in 1925. Yellow Cab was a competing cab company that operated out of the old San Carlos Hotel at Garden and Palafox Streets, from 1935 until it merged with Tucker Transportation in 1975. Since then, the company has sought to be the premier transportation provider in the Northwest Florida area and live up to it heritage of providing quality service to community residents and visitors. In 2018 Yellow Cab of Pensacola was acquired by WHC Worldwide and converted to the zTrip brand. zTrip represents a brand-new culture of taxi service and safety. zTrip combines the safety and service of traditional taxi with the technology and convenience of rideshare. zTrip is the first national taxi brand, with national brand standards. zTrip operates in 15 cities and is growing every day.
